About me
Igor Mokhovyk is a Ukrainian-born fine art photographer based in Germany. His current work is created primarily on black-and-white 4×5 large-format film.
His photography explores form, memory, silence and the relationship between people and the spaces around them. Rather than using photography as a direct record of reality, he is interested in images that remain open to interpretation and leave something unresolved.
Working with large-format film is an essential part of this process. The slow, deliberate nature of the 4×5 camera allows each photograph to emerge through observation and attention, while the physical negative becomes the starting point for the final print.
